Plans for Westgate announced
Vacant Dillard's stores to be demolished this summer

WESTSHORE — The much-anticipated plans to redevelop moribund Westgate Mall were announced by the Richard E. Jacobs Group last week, but few details not previously known were released. Fairview Park leaders are excited at the news, but Rocky River Mayor Bill Knoble still has concerns his city will bear the brunt of traffic headed toward the shopping center.

North Olmsted may join regional dispatch center
NORTH OLMSTED — After months of discussion but no action, the city now seems poised to join the regional emergency dispatch center which will open by late summer on the campus of St. John West Shore Hospital.

NORTH OLMSTED — A tip led city police officers to two North Olmsted teenagers they believe were behind the damage and destruction of 122 tombstones at the historic Butternut Ridge Cemetery last weekend.
