Move of historic church underway
NORTH OLMSTED — The former Holy Resurrection Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which until Tuesday was located at Lorain and Barton Roads,has begun its relocation to the Olmsted Historical Society's Frostville Museum site in the Cleveland Metroparks.

Opposition seeks tax cut through charter amendment
WESTLAKE — Opponents of Westlake’s incumbent government launched a petition drive Thursday to place before voters a charter amendment which would reduce the city’s property taxes from 8.7 mills to 5.9 mills. If the charter amendment gets on the November ballot and passes, any additional property tax would require voter approval.

House budget boosts NASA, aeronautics research
WESTSHORE — The House of Representatives passed an appropriations bill last Thursday which would restore NASA’s aeronautics funding to last year’s levels. That’s good news for NASA’s Glenn Research Center and efforts to save over 700 jobs there, Rep. Dennis Kucinich said Monday.
