Flood, sewer issue still hot
NORTH OLMSTED — Echoes of the Aug. 20 flood continue to be heard as candidates for mayor and city council debate how to improve the city's sewer system.

Police may join state’s Net sex crimes task force
ROCKY RIVER — The Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce has asked the city’s police department to participate in the organization, which identifies, arrests and prosecutes those using the Internet to exploit children through pornography or illicit sexual relationships.

Clough defends family members’ jobs at plant
WESTLAKE — The Westlake mayor said an Oct. 13 Plain Dealer story reporting that five of his relatives and two of Rocky River Mayor William Knoble work at the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant was politically motivated.

More than just another golfer, she is a great person
North Olmsted senior Jennifer Sherman is not handicapped or disabled. Cerebral Palsy may have taken away the use of her left arm and made her left leg two and half inches shorter, but it has not handicapped her at all.

Hillbilly Idol headlines Lake Erie Nature Center fundraiser

The group's sound blends bluegrass, western swing, honkytonk and originals. Plus, the Beatles' original drummer, Pete Best, plays Monday in Lakewood.
