Rocky River Church celebrates 50th Anniversary
John Weedon of Westlake leads a procession on Jan. 8 during Rocky River Presbyterian Church’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of its charter worship service. The church marked the milestone with a special 90-minute service and a re-enactment of the 1956 caravan from Lakewood Presbyterian Church to Rocky River Presbyterian.

Sheriff’s office investigates mayors
Report on Clough, Knoble going to ethics panel

WESTLAKE — The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office will turn over to the Ohio Ethics Commission its findings regarding the employment of relatives of the mayors of Westlake and Rocky River at the Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant.
However, contrary to a Plain Dealer report, the Sheriff’s office has not recommended that a special prosecutor be assigned to review the case.

Bradley Bay Proposal heads back to Planning Commission
BAY VILLAGE — It’s back to the planning commission for a controversial proposed expansion of the Bradley Bay Health Care Center after the Board of Zoning Appeals approved two variances for the proposal last week.

Joint entrance considered for new fire station
NORTH OLMSTED — As part of the plan being discussed by city and Metroparks officials, the Metroparks would have additional access to their properties and be able to make that connection to the Bradley Woods reservation several years sooner than they anticipated.
