Bay
teen determined to bowl over painful disease
BAY VILLAGE Joey Melenick, a seventh-grader at Bay Middle School,
marked his 13th birthday by holding a fundraiser for his class at
Bay Lanes. The benefit rasied money to combat Crohn’s Disease, a
disroder of the digestive tract which Lelenick suffers from.

pinch results in layoffs, demotions

PARK Due to sudden cuts in city revenue, a reorganization
at City Hall has been instituted by Mayor Eileen Patton. Three full-time
employees and five part-time employees are being laid off to eliminate
a $1.2 million budget deficit.
Regional
dispatch center officially opens
WESTSHORE
Local leaders hailed the opening of the facility, which will
dsipatch fire engines and ambulances in four cities, as an example
of how communities can work together to offer improved services
in a more efficient manner.
Junior
American Idol singer rocks Crocker Park
WESTLAKE Katelyn Tarver, who at the age of 13 appeared on the
"American Idol" spinoff "Junior Americans,"
entertained local fans Saturday at a concert sponspred by Radio
Disney.
