Students make every moment count in disaster training
NORTH OLMSTED — Firefighters and students from North Olmsted took part in a disaster drill Sunday which simulated a tornado hitting Great Northern Mall. The students had been training for several weeks with the firefighters in various aspects of dealing with a disaster such as CPR, first aid and triage.

WESTLAKE — Area supporters of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property demonstrated against the contraversial film's premiere at Regal Cinema at Crocker Park this weekend. They say the film, which suggests Jesus married and had a child, is blasphemous.

Residents question tax re-evaluation
ROCKY RIVER — In search of additional revenue, the Rocky River City School District is examining recent home sales to make sure homeowners are paying enough property taxes.

• Copy Editing
• Sports
• New Media

West Life covers the western suburbs of Cleveland, including Fairview Park, North Olmsted, Westlake, Rocky River and Bay Village.

Interns will be assigned news and feature articles for publication. Standing as a college junior, senior or graduate student is preferred. Journalism coursework and experience on a campus newspaper is preferred. Availability Monday evening and/or Tuesday morning is preferred.
