FLOODED
STREETS MAKE PERFECT PLAYGROUND
Soil saturated from previous rains couldn’t handle any more
during last Wednesday’s downpours. As drivers were rerouted
past flooded portions of I-90 in Rocky River, children on Riverview
Avenue took to the streets swimming. Mayor William Knoble of
Rocky River said Monday several city basements were flooded
as well, including some on High Parkway and East Shoreland.
The city has contacted those residents by letter to try and
determine the cause. Whether the water came in through windows
and walls or up through basement drains is still unknown. (Photo
