for anyone, especially children. But through sharing and group
support sessions, a local group is helping children make it
through their grief. |

Bike
lanes to be painted on Hilliard this fall
But don’t use them until April, mayor says
WESTLAKE When the bike lanes will be painted by September,
signs will be posted stating the lanes will not officially open
until April, Mayor Dennis Clough said. The arrangement is the result
of a compromise resolving an difference of opinion that had divided
the administration and City Council.

end in sight to high prices

Many factors contribute to rising fule prices, National City Corp. Economist Ryan Reed said recently
in a speech to the Rocky River Chamber of Commerce. Increased demand
from China and political tensions in Iraq and Iran are some of the
big ones, he said.

dedication celebrates golf pro’s legacy
Jerry
Ludvik not only loved to play golf, he loved teaching golf. The late
Springvale Country Club golf pro, who died of a heart attack last
fall, was remebered July 9 at the dedication of the club's Jerry Ludvik Memorial Golf Garden.

It’s
a marvelous night for a moondance in Lakewood
Starry
Night, an Aug 4 preview of the 29th Annual Lakewood Arts Festival,
will raise
money for the community and get people up close to celebrated artists
and their work.
Patchwork quilts by Robbie Robertson, such as the one at the left,
earned her the title of best new artist last year. The popular arts exhibition features a variety of
media and more than 160 artists from across the country.
