State asked to review purchase
ROCKY RIVER — A recent real estate purchase by the city's economic development director will be sent to the Ohio Ethics Commission for additional review. Last month, city Law Director Andrew Bemer had cleared Kory Koran of any wrongdoing in the purchase of a vacant Lake Road storefront property.

Liquor license transfer on hold pending state investigation
ROCKY RIVER — Koran's purchase of Dorutina’s Deli included a liquor license for beer and wine, and wine sales on Sundays. When the license transfer came before City Council for approval Friday, members unanimously voted to object to the switch because the transaction will be investigated by the Ohio Ethics Commission.

Art groups mull future
WESTLAKE — Amid speculation that Lakewood's Beck Center may relocated to Crocker Park, Heather Drago and a committee of art backers are moving ahead with plans to form a Westlake Arts Center.
