Free festival features fish, face-painting and folklore
WESTSHORE — From Cleveland to Olmsted Falls, everyone lives in a watershed. The term refers to bodies of water, including storm water and snow melts, that move through networks of drainage pathways, both underground and on the surface. The annual Watershed Festival, this Saturday at the Rocky River Nature Center in North Olmsted, will celebrate the ecological wonder with folk music and food are just some of the free event’s many features.
Longtime administrator announces retirement

ROCKY RIVER — Superintendent Dennis Allen, who has led the district since 1995, announced his intention to depart at last Wednesday’s school board meeting. Although he will continue oversight of district activities through July 2007, his contract with the board expires Dec. 30.

American Dream comes true for new city resident
NORTH OLMSTED — Rachel Evtimov, who works at Arturo’s Restaurant and Lounge, on Sunday learned just why her family and friends had been acting kind of odd the last few days. Evtimov was presented with an Angela Drive house by the syndicated TV show “HomeTeam,” which purchased the home and furnished it with new appliances and furniture.
