Salute to veterans

Another levy attempt may follow first cuts
NORTH OLMSTED — The school district will begin implementing non-personnel cuts Jan. 1. School Superintendent Kurt Stanic said hewants to put an operating levy, which voters have rejects five straight times, before voters again in February.

Quieting train horns can be expensive
ROCKY RIVER — Council is discussing possible afety measures which can be implemented so that a passing train does not have to blow its horn. But the best solutions are also the most costly.

Hijinks in the halls honor top principal
ROCKY RIVER — The Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators named has named Rocky RIver Middle School Principal David Root the 2006 Ohio Middle School Distinguished Principal. Students recognized him in ways both serious and humerous.
