LAKEWOOD — The colorful Christmas season kicks off Thursday with a 5 p.m. lighting ceremony at Sinagra Park, surrounded by the songs of the McKinley Elementary School singers. After that, Light up Lakewood kicks off in earnest with a variety of free and fee activities throughout the lakeside town.

WESTSHORE — Casey Coleman, the 55-year-old sportscaster whose personal battle against pancreatic cancer ended Monday, made several stops across the Westshore during the past year to fight cancer on behalf of others.
