Stanic
leaving at end of year
NORTH OLMSTED Kurt Stanic, who served as superintendent
for the North Olmsted Schools since 2003, told the board of education
he will step down when his contract expires in June.
Hoggy’s
Restaurant closes
WESTLAKE Citing poor sales, Hoggy's Restaurant
shut its doors at the end of business Feb. 18. The chain's CEO said
it's the first location that has failed. It's also the first Crocker
Park business to close since the retail center opened in the fall
of 2004.
Man
charged in elevator shooting
NORTH OLMSTED No "love in an elevator"
for two Kings Path apartment residents on Feb. 22.
One man shot another while several other elevator passengers looked
on in shock. Police determined the two men had been feuding for
some time.
