Officials: Man drowned
No signs of foul play found on washed up body

BAY VILLAE — Authorities identified the body that washed ashore on a private beach Sunday as that of Lakewood resident Jerzy Perkitny, 60.

Hilliard bike lanes officially open

Clough said the Hilliard bike lanes — between the Rocky River border and Dover Center Road — was just the first phase of bike paths throughout the city. The Westlake portion of the Crocker-Stearns extension (from Center Ridge Road south) will also have a bike lane, Clough said, adding that he hopes the North Olmsted section will add one, too.

BAY VILLAGE — Residents opposing the multi-million dollar expansion of the Bradley Bay Health Care facility are mulling possible appeals after the Municipal Planning Commission approved the latest plans.

BAY VILLAGE — Born without arms, musician Tony Melendez gained international fame when he performed for Pope John Paul II in 1987. Melendez and his Toe Jam Band perfromed at St. Raphael Catholic Church Palm Sunday.
