Marinucci
appointed to vacant board seat
WESTLAKE
Joseph A. Marinucci, president and CEO of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance,
a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a dynamic downtown
area, joins the Board of Education. He said he plans to seek
election in November for the remaining two years of the unexpired
term of David Beal. Beal resigned last month when he relocated to
Texas.
Skate
park lease extended one year
ROCKY RIVER The city wanted a two-year lease
on the skate park, which opened in 2005 on a lot behind the high school
that once housed tennis courts. But
the district plans a comprehensive facilities review next year and
did not want to make a commitment beyond one year..
Parade
returns to Hilliard Boulevard
WESTLAKE Residents
welcomed the city’s Independence Day parade back to Hilliard Boulevard
after a one-year move to Crocker Park.

weekend, when graduating seniors Pauly Ferguson and Joe Caruso said
farewell to the maroon and white colors of Rocky River High School.
