Arts festival attracts 35,000
WESTLIFE — The 15th annual St. John West Shore Hospital Festival of the Arts set records in number of artist-vendors and dollars raised for the institution's community health programs.

Planning Commission OKs Columbia Road widening
WESTLAKE — The Planning Commission Monday gave its approval to the street project despite hearing from several residents who said they were opposed to the project. The project, half of which is being paid for by state money, will add two lanes to Columbia between Hilliard Boulevard and Center Ridge Road.

Primary amendment headed toward ballot
BAY VILLAGE— City Council recommends a non-partisan September primary for any city office having three or more candidates by the filing deadline.
