River seeks injunction against dog park
ROCKY RIVER — After years of resident complaints about noise, Rocky River has gone to court in an effort to get Lakewood to close its dog park.
City ponders pool improvements
WESTLAKE — Users of Peterson Pool are being surveyed about their satisfaction with the Clague Park facility. The city has hired an architect to study the possibility of making improvements to the pool.
‘Suspicious’ fire destroys playground
photoNORTH OLMSTED — Officials are investigating a July 23 fire that destroyed outdoor playground equipment at Forest Primary School. Although the school district will file an insurance claim on the damage, pupils will be without playground equipment when school begins in a few weeks.
NASA offers tour of aircraft noise reduction facility Saturday

Westlake Police to hold Open House Aug. 7
WESTLAKE — The Westlake Police Department will host an open house Aug 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. Station tours, child fingerprinting and an opportunity to view police vehicles up close will be offered.
