Firefighters protest staffing changes
BAY VILLAGE — Members of the Bay Village Firefighters Association sent an open letter to the public criticizing Mayor Debbie Sutherland’s decision to reduce the minimum staffing level from six firefighters to five when a firefighter calls in sick.
Officials: Arrests don’t indicate heroin ring
WESTLAKE — School officials and leaders of Westlake Parent Connection have scheduled a series of public meetings beginning Feb. 19 to address the issue of drugs in the community. The meetings follow the recent arrests of three Westlake High School students and one parent in connection to drug activity.
