ROCKY RIVER Gita Frankel, who grew up in a Jewish family in Germany
during the Nazi rise to power, spoke of witnessing her father shot
to death before her eyes during a talk to eighth-graders Thursday.
She would see even greater horrors when she and her mother were sent
to two concentration camps.

Music a la Mode scheduled for Saturday WESTLAKE
The 53rd annual Music a la Mode, the Westlake Music Boosters'
biggest fund-raiser, will be held Sat., May 10 from noon through
10 p.m. at the Westlake Schools Performing Arts Center. The all-day
concert features musicians from grades five through 12.
