Fire chief’s demotion justified, report says
WESTLAKE — Former Fire Chief Richard Pietrick’s 30-day suspension and demotion to the rank of firefighter was justified, according to the trial hearing officer who heard his appeal on behalf of the city’s civil service commission. Pietrick said he will pursue legal action against the city.

NASA's Glenn Research Center is opening its doors for a public open house this weekend, May 17 and 18, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to commemorate the space agency's 50th anniversary. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of facilities, exhibits and the Visitor Center.

Kucinich to host military academy day May 17
