Less income forces district to cut budget
BAY VILLAGE — The school district has cut $393,157 from its initial proposed budget. Superintendent Clint Keener said tax revenue is down due to the foreclosure crisis and other problems in the housing industry.
Porter Web site expands features
WESTLAKE — The library's Web site is thought of as a seperate branch, says Porter Director Andrew Mangels. Webmaster Matt Weaver has overseen the addition of podcasts and blogs by staff members in recent months.
Church eases pain at pump
WESTLAKE — Cars lined up Friday afternoon at the Circle K station to take advantage of Church on the Rise’s second annual Great Gas Giveaway in which church members handed out free $10 gas cards.
