Westgate to host daylong celebration Saturday

Westgate shopping center will hold a daylong celebration Saturday (Nov. 1) with numerous family events, giveaways and promotions.

"Celebrate Westgate" begins at 10 a.m. near the new Books-A-Million bookstore with a ceremony featuring local municipal dignitaries from Fairview Park and Rocky River as well as officials from Centro Properties Group and The Richard E. Jacobs Group, the shopping center's owners. A time capsule will be buried. WDOK disc jockey Terry Moir will be on hand. A $500 Westgate shopping spree will be given away as one of several prizes.

From 2 to 4 p.m., Radio Disney will host a "High School Musical"-themed "Wildcat Pep Rally."

Westgate now is home to 40 restaurants and retailers. For more information on Saturday's event, and a list of store promotions going on during the day, read the press release.
