Fairview Park tree lighting moves to Gemini this Sunday
The city's annual tree lighting ceremony, previously held at City Hall, is moving to the Gemini Center this year. The event, which begins this Sunday at 5:15 with a performance of the Fairview Park High School Scarlet Singers, takes place at the Gemini Center, 21225 Lorain Road. Refreshments, a balloon twister and an expected appearance by Santa are all part of the event, which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Fairview Park.
City sends layoff notices to 15 workers
NORTH OLMSTED — Mayor Thomas O’Grady said the letters were sent out last Friday to five firefighters, five police officers and five AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) workers in the city.

Huntington shows real Santa Claus in holiday show
