Co. explains steps taken to limit power outages

Company officials said several steps have been taken to limit the
possibility of future power outages in a neighborhood hit with eight
such outages last year. Mayor Eileen Patton,
who scheduled a Jan. 7 public meeting for affected residents, said
she is pleased with the response from the uytility company.

ROCKY RIVER Thirty-two high school students spent four weeks in
November and December surveying 400 city businesses.The two-page survey prepared by the city includes
questions on issues such as expansion needs, parking, and improvement
plans.

Olmsted Falls popped the Westlake Lady Demons with an 11-0 run early
in the first quarter Saturday afternoon, then counter punched with
a 10-0 run in the second as the Bulldogs came away with a 42-31 Southwestern
