Committee calls for new school buildings
WESTLAKE — The 24-member committee that studied the school district’s aging facilities is recommending that the district consturct a new high school, new intermediate school and two or three new elementary schools. The problems of overcrowding and aging buildings is so critical that the district should not wait until the economy improves.

O’Grady says city up to dealing with tough times
NORTH OLMSTED — In his annual State of the City address, Mayor Thomas O'Grady said the city has not been immune to the national economic downturn. Five workers have been laid off recently, but the administration has submitted a ballanced budget, the mayor reported.
