Loan amount increased for motel purchase
FAIRVIEW PARK — The county will likely loan the city more money to complete the purchase and demolition of the Country Inn Motel. About $47,000 more is being requested to handle environmental remediation of the property, which is the cornerstone of a proposed major redevelopment project.
First-ever Emily’s Run draws 600 Sunday
WESTLAKE — Over 600 runners, many who registered late last week, turned out for the first ever Emily’s Rainbow Run, a four-mile run, and an accompanying two-mile walk/run in Westlake Sunday morning to benefit pediatric cancer research.

Eagles finish third at Comet Relays
