Unions support fire district study
WESTSHORE — The leaders of seven local firefighters unions have expressed their support for a study on the creation of a Westshore regional fire district.
Basketball star charged with rape
ROCKY RIVER — Steve Logan, a former basketball star at St. Edward High School and the University of Cincinnati, was arrested Friday morning for an alleged rape at a Rocky River apartment complex.

Mayor traveling to Irish sister city of Tralee
WESTLAKE — Mayor Dennis Clough and Palnning Director Robert Parry are traveling — on their own dime to the community of 20,000 that was named a sister city in May.
The mayor will be in Tralee for the 50th annual Rose of Tralee International Festival. named after a 19th century ballad about unrequited love.
