Proposal
reduces number of assistant law directors
WESTLAKE Mayor Dennis Clough has proposed an ordinance that
would reduce the number of assistant law directors from four to two.
Law Director John Wheeler told West Life that he disagrees with the
proposal. |
New
electric sign up at Fairview Park City Hall
FAIRVIEW PARK The new sign, which was installed last month, replaces
an 11-year-old lighted marquee sign. One benefit of a computerized LED sign will be that
it can be programmed to display several messages on a rotating basis. |
Council
keeps ‘temporary’ quarterly trash fee
BAY VILLAGE City residents should begin seeing the $12 quarterly
trash fee bills in their mail boxes this week after City Council approved
retaining the fee again as means of helping deal with a projected
$1 million budget deficit.

rallies, steals one away from Rockets

Bay High Rockets boys basketball team, leaders of the West Shore Conference,
jumped out to a 33-23 lead in the third quarter. But when it was all
said and done, it was Southwestern Conference leader Westlake that
came away with a 47-42 win last Saturday night. |

Great Brad to offer theater, magic classes for all ages
Brad
Schreiber, also known as The Great Brad, is offering theater and
magic classes for both children and adults. The Rocky River Recreation
Department will offer youth theater workshops and magic workshops
for children in grades one through six as well as an adult workshop,
Beginning Acting for Adults.
