Treat your Valentine to a weekend of wining and dining

Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, falls on a Sunday this year. Many restaurants are featuring holiday specials from Thursday through Sunday so you can wine and dine your sweetie all weekend long.

Arrabiatta’s, 600 Dover Center Road in Bay Village, will offer its regular menu plus Valentine’s Day specials from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Champagne will be available by the glass. Call (440) 835-9100.

Buca Di Beppo, 23575 Detroit Road in Westlake, has Buca small and large portion sizes, perfect for sharing on Valentine’s weekend. Try the new baked rigatoni, spicy shrimp Fra Diavolo or Chianti-braised short ribs. Your special someone will enjoy a dessert of chocolate chip cannoli. The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Call (440) 356-2276.

Frankie’s Italian Restaurant, 27828 Center Ridge Road in Westlake, is serving its regular menu plus some romantic specials on Valentine’s weekend. Carryout is available. Call (440) 892-0064.

Houlihan’s, 25651 Detroit Road, is celebrating the holiday with a Valentine’s bundle. The special dinner includes soup or salad, entrée and any dessert selection for $27.95. Entrée choices are New York strip steak, filet mignon, pan-seared scallops with lemon asparagus risotto or cold-water lobster tails. The special will be available from 4 p.m. to closing on Friday and Saturday and all day on Sunday. Call (440) 899-7070.

The Linden Tavern, 19865 Detroit Road in Rocky River, will feature its regular menu as well as Valentine specials. Saturday highlights will include an eight-ounce filet paired with a four-ounce lobster tail, potato and salad for $19.99, and Angus prime rib dinner for $12.99. Patrons can pair prime rib with a lobster tail, soup, salad and potato for $14.99 on Sunday. All specials include a chocolate-covered strawberry for dessert. Mahle’s, 24945 Detroit Road, will be open on Valentine’s Day with a limited holiday menu and specials that include dinners for two. Reservations are recommended. Call (440) 899-6602.

Quince, 8074 Columbia Road in Olmsted Falls, is featuring the regular menu plus Valentine’s Day specials. Call (440) 427-8100.

Saucy Bistro, 24481 Detroit Road, is offering a different alternative for Valentine’s Day. A lavish brunch, with chef’s carving stations and made-to-order omelets, will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $29 for adults and $13 for children age 10 or younger. A dinner and show in the downstairs dining room on Sunday begins at 5 p.m. Scott Brotherton will entertain with music from the “Rat Pack.” Dinner will start with the restaurant’s famous Bittaker salad. Entrée selections include beef medallions, cornmeal-crusted tilapia or baked organic chicken breast. Dessert is chocolate mousse with raspberries. Cost for the package is $49 plus tax and gratuity. Steak on a Stone, 30111 Lorain Road in North Olmsted, will be serving its regular menu plus Valentine’s Day specials on Thursday through Sunday evenings. A Sunday brunch buffet, available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is $9.95 for adults and $4.95 for youngsters under 10 years of age. Call (440) 777-0002.
