add to St. Patrick’s Day festivities

You do not need the luck of the Irish to find a great place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Check out the dining and entertainment specials offered by local establishments.

Enjoy your corned beef on rye bread from Becker’s Bakery, 22088 Lorain Road in Fairview Park, this St. Patrick’s Day. The bakery will also feature Irish soda bread, shamrock cookies and decorated cupcakes and donuts. Call (440) 734-9856 to place your order.

While waiting for your corned beef and cabbage dinner to be served at Champps, 12 Main Street at Crocker Park, you can take part in the beer slide for prizes, listen to Irish music and sip one of the Irish beers on special. Call (440) 871-0313.

Ironwood Café, 688 Dover Center Road in Westlake, will open at 9 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, serving corned beef gravy and biscuits. Corned beef sandwiches will be available all day, along with corned beef and cabbage dinners, house-cured salmon, potato cakes and green beer. The Linden Tavern, 19865 Detroit Road in Rocky River, will offer Scotch broth soup, Irish lamb stew, corned beef and Reuben sandwiches and corned beef dinners for lunch and dinner. Green beer will be on tap all day. Call (440) 333-1609.

Mahle’s Restaurant, 24945 Detroit Road in Westlake, is offering corned beef sandwiches and corned beef dinners on St. Patrick’s Day. Call (440) 899-6602 for reservations.

Stamper’s, 21750 Lorain Road in Fairview Park, opens at 10 a.m. on St. Patrick’s Day, with live music by Jimmy Stamper and Brian Bigley beginning at noon. The Irish Cottage Boys are on stage at 3 p.m., followed by Seamus the Irish DJ at 7 p.m. Corned beef dinners, corned beef sandwiches and Irish stew will be on the menu, and there will be free beads and Irish derbies. The Whistlestop Restaurant, 673 Cahoon Road in Westlake, is featuring corned beef sandwiches and corned beef dinners, as well as Reuben pizzas. Call (440) 899-5134.
