of audio, video services in Fairview Park

A to Z Audio Services covers customers’ audio and video needs from, well, A to Z. Co-owners and former neighbors Duane Abarca and Greg Zarnoski (hence, the A to Z) began the Fairview Park business in 1984 to repair high speed audio cassette duplicators.

Since then, the company has grown to include CD, DVD and cassette duplication; media transfers from records, reel tapes or cassettes to digital formats; packaging and printing; poster design; mastering; video editing and slideshow creation.

“We really provide personal attention,” Greg said. “When someone comes in or calls, they talk to us directly. There’s no automated voice on the phone. We also work with the customer and offer suggestions, like how to market a product better.”

A to Z Audio is also committed to customer satisfaction. Customers can work with engineer Matt Gross on video and audio editing or mastering. They can also work with graphic designer Joe Simon by appointment, Duane said. A to Z has worked with many local celebrities, including singer/songwriter Alex Bevan, blues artist Colin Dussault and the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.

A to Z Audio’s goal is to get the job done quickly and correctly, Duane said. It guarantees its products.

“A quick turnaround is something we’re used to here,” Duane said. “People come to us with rush jobs all the time. Just the other day, someone needed 200 DVD copies by the next day. We actually got it done that same day and had it ready for him to pick up at 9 a.m. the next morning.”

Although much of today’s media is digital, A to Z Audio regularly works with cassettes, which are making a small comeback, Greg said. The business loads about 1,000 cassette tapes a month. Many local musicians are recording on cassettes for a retro feel, he said. A to Z can transfer your old cassette and 8-track tapes to CDs.

A to Z also offers Digipak CD/DVD packaging, which is more eco-friendly than the common plastic-intensive jewel boxes.

A to Z Audio, 21929 Lorain Road in Fairview Park, is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information, call (440) 333-0040 or visit www.atozaudio.com.
