Police: Liptrap returned some money
photoFAIRVIEW PARK — Kevin Liptrap, the campus principal at the high school and middle School, turned an undisclosed amount of money over to authorities shortly after resigning Oct. 5, police said. Liptrap had been confronted by school officials earlier that day after shortages were discovered in student activity funds.

Force opens location at former River Oaks Racquet Club
ROCKY RIVER — Force Indoor Sports has opened at the former River Oaks Racquet Club on Center Ridge Road.
The renovated facility will feature two 90-yard-by-40-yard indoor turf fields and five indoor tennis courts.

River scores early, often to take out Bay
If you like offense, Bay Memorial Stadium was the place to be Friday night. Points went up on the scoreboard like there was no tomorrow. Visiting Rocky River scored 21 points in the second quarter to take a big halftime lead, then held on to win a 53-34 shootout over the Rockets.
