Over the course of June 3-5, some 345 Avon Lake High School graduates received their diplomas in a staggered ceremony at the high school stadium. Every five minutes, a graduate crossed a stage to receive his or her diploma. Graduates also had pictures taken with an Avon Lake School Board member, an ALHS tradition. Students could invite up to three family members to the ceremony. The district also took photos of students as they received their diplomas. The district will offer graduates a video of the ceremony. Class president Emily Kirkwood poses with her diploma inside the stadium. Kyle Milkie stopped in front of a large 2020 balloon. Rayana Meyers smiles as she holds up her diploma on the graduation stage.
