A bridge on Mills Road over French Creek will be closed between 8:45 a.m. and approximately 3 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 2.
The city must close the bridge so the final sections of box culvert can be delivered and installed, according to a news release.
The bridge is just east of Avon Belden Road, between Avon Belden and Greenwich Avenue.
Eastbound traffic will be routed southbound on Avon Belden to Center Ridge Road, then east on Center Ridge to Jaycox Road and north on Jaycox back to Mills.
Westbound traffic should travel southbound on Jaycox to Center Ridge, west on Center Ridge to Avon Belden and north back to Mills.
Work on the nearly $900,000 project began in late July and is expected to be done by the end of the year.
The new bridge replaces one built in 1928, which had deteriorated. The project includes adding sidewalks to both sides.
North Ridgeville expects completion of the bridge reconstruction in December, said city engineer Daniel Rodriguez, who added inclement weather could slow the project.
