Cleveland State University

CSU is directing employees to work remotely through April 10. During this period, the university will remain open, and offices that require on-site personnel will be staffed.


Spring break was extended through March 22.

Classes will resume March 23 by remote delivery. On-campus classes are canceled through April 10, with plans to resume them April 13. Students are strongly encouraged to stay home until then.


All athletic competitions and practices are suspended indefinitely.

Wolstein Center

Decisions on events that will be held at the Wolstein Center will be announced by the sponsoring organizations.

International Travel

CSU has canceled all funded overseas travel until the end of August and has canceled its Summer Abroad programs.

Domestic Travel

We are following CDC guidelines for domestic travel.

Cuyahoga Community College

Academic/credit classes

Face-to-face classes are postponed until March 23. These classes will be delivered online or by phone, video conference or other methods through the end of the semester. Faculty will contact their students with details.

Classes that are currently taught fully or partially online (blended) resumed as scheduled Monday Blended classes will be taught fully online.

Clinical rotations will continue, unless advised otherwise by the program manager or instructor.

Facilities and services

Most Tri-C facilities are open and operating as usual. This includes client events and activities at Corporate College locations.

Fitness centers and pools are closed, reopening April 1.

Workforce/noncredit classes

Workforce training and Corporate College classes will continue as scheduled.

Encore Campus Fridays and Neighborhood Scholars classes are postponed until April 1.

Tri-C Access Centers (at Esperanza, Inc., Olivet Housing and Community Development Corp., and MetroHealth Medical Center) will continue operations as long as the community partner locations remain open.

Campus meetings and events

Athletic events will continue as scheduled; however, spectators will be limited to immediate families of student-athletes at all indoor events. Tri-C has not updated this, but there’s no way athletic events are continuing as scheduled.

All college-sponsored campus events are canceled until further notice.

Community and business organization events scheduled at Tri-C locations, including Corporate College, will continue at the discretion of the organization holding the event.

Tri-C travel guidance

All college-sponsored international or domestic travel for faculty, staff and students is suspended until further notice.

Kent State University


Remote instruction of face-to-face courses will continue the remainder of this semester.

March 23-29: Spring break will occur as scheduled.

Kent Campus students are strongly encouraged to return to their homes for the remainder of the semester. The university will work with students who are not able to return home during this time period on an individual basis. A limited number of residence halls and dining options will remain available for those students.


Intercollegiate athletic events and all practices are canceled.


Events scheduled for campus locations through the end of the semester are canceled. A decision about May 4 50th Commemoration activities will be forthcoming.

Kent Student Center and Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center will be closed.


Decisions regarding spring commencement will be made at a later date.


University-sponsored domestic and international travel is suspended until further notice.

Lorain County Community College

The college is on spring break until March 24.

Classes resume March 25. In-person classes will be conducted in alternate delivery format, which may include online or in-person with established protocols for social distancing. Students will receive a communication from their instructor about how each class will be modified.

Student services, including advising appointments, will continue as scheduled.

Campus services remain open.

LCCC’s Children’s Center will remain open.

Athletic events are canceled. The softball and baseball seasons are suspended.

No new college events are scheduled through at least April 20.

University Partnership students with in-person UP classes held on LCCC’s campus should check with the partner university or instructor for information about the status of their class.

Stocker Arts Center events are postponed or canceled through at least April 20.

Spitzer Conference Center rental events are being evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If such events host more than 100 guests, they are canceled per Gov. Mike DeWine’s order.

The Fab Lab, Fitness Center and Stocker Art Gallery are closed.
