The city’s annual Community Days was reduced this year to a Community Day. That didn’t stop hundreds of people from lining both sides of Lake Road to watch the annual parade Friday evening. The parade stepped off from Sheffield Lake City Hall on Harris Road then traveled down Lake to the Shoreway Shopping Center where participants were met with a patriotic display courtesy of the Sheffield Village Fire Department. Visitors also wandered around munching on fair food from a handful of vendors. The normally four-day event was reduced to a single day as planners had difficulty finding food and ride vendors due to the pandemic. Organizers the Community Civic Council of Sheffield Lake insist the event will be back in full force in 2022.
