Ford Celebrates 50 years of Econoline production in Lorain County

As the Lake Erie Crusher’s begin the season defending their 2009 Frontier League Championship this Friday, the UAW-Ford is celebrating their 50th Anniversary of Econoline Production here in Ohio. The 50th Anniversary edition vehicle is expected to roll off the assembly line at the end of July.

Ohio Assembly, which has approximately 2,000 employees is the largest companies in Lorain County .  The facility supports nearly 15,000 additional jobs in many manufacturing businesses throughout the state.  Ohio Assembly Plant was established in three different cities, which support Avon Lake , Sheffield Lake and Sheffield Village communities.
