Sheffield middle school students honored

Cardinal Crossover recognizes Sheffield-Sheffield Lake eighth-grade students leaving middle school to begin their high school careers. Pictured is Julian Martinez, who plans to attend Lorain County Joint Vocational School. Local school districts partner with JVS to provide hands-on learning in careers such as carpentry, automotive technology, culinary arts or digital media arts. Students remain connected to their home district and participate in extracurricular sports and programs. Julian is one of 150 students moving on to high school. Due to COVID-19, teachers, staff and the principal gathered in the driveway between the two buildings to cheer their graduates on June 3. It marked their last middle school activity.
