Eighth graders from St. Peter School had fun taping Principal Roger Brooks to the school’s gym wall Friday. Students earned $500 for their trip to Washington D.C. this April. Though NRCS canceled this year’s D.C. trip, parents and staff at St. Peter felt the annual trip is too important and marks an important time in students’ lives. Parent Marcia Collins said most of the students have been together since kindergarten and several may be moving in different directions to different high schools. Collins said the trip provides an opportunity for personal growth and bonding. Students paid $1 per piece of tape and $5 for six pieces. They went through 60 rolls of tape and plan on making this event a new tradition.
