To the Editor:
The Democratic Party voters in the 56th House District (Lorain City, Oberlin, Sheffield Lake, Amherst Twp., S. Amherst, most of Elyria Twp., Sheffield Twp., Pct 2-A in Amherst City, 5th and 6th wards of Elyria City, and Pct. 2 in Carlisle Twp.) have an outstanding candidate in Dan Ramos, running to serve in the Ohio House.
His recent experience in Columbus since 2000, as the senior policy analyst for House Speaker Armond Budish and before that as legislative aide for Rep. Joseph Koziura, enhances his candidacy in that he knows well the legislative process in order to “get things done” for his Lorain County constituents.
Dan was educated at Lorain Admiral King High School (with honors) and at The Ohio State University with a B.A. degree in political science. I have known his wonderful family since 1982 when his father, Raul Ramos, became a prominent accounting professor at LCCC, where I had worked before the legislature.
Dan Ramos’ background, experience, personality, roots in this community, and first-hand knowledge of the Legislature qualify him to serve well immediately upon taking office. I endorse the election of Dan Ramos on May 4 for the 56th House District.
