St. Joseph Academy’s lacrosse rivalry week was a rousing success, with decisive road victories over Magnificat and Avon separated by 48 hours.

On May 4, the Jaguars (14-2) took down the Blue Streaks 17-4 at Karnatz Family Field, led by five goals and eight assists from senior Grace Mattimore. Junior Elise Larsen recorded a hat trick, including her 100th-career goal.

The team trekked to Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet Stadium in Avon on May 6 and beat the Eagles 16-4, avenging last season’s 11-10 sudden-death overtime loss.

The Jaguars entered this week on an 11-game winning streak. They’ll wrap their regular season on Thursday when they host Akron Archbishop Hoban at 4:30 p.m. at Victory Park in North Ridgeville.
